Volcanoes very much alive.
Arenal. Poás. Tenorio. Costa Rica is Central America’s active volcanic spine. Smoking craters, turquoise lagoons, and natural hot springs where you can float while the mountain range looks on. It is the earth taking shape before your eyes.
Biodiversity beyond belief.
Sloths sleeping just two meters away from you. Toucans and quetzals in the mist. Howler monkeys at dawn. Manta rays, humpback whales, and turtles laying eggs under the moon. Costa Rica doesn't have a zoo—the whole country is a sanctuary.
Two Oceans in a single trip.
To the west, the Pacific Ocean with its legendary sunsets and surfable waves. To the east, the Caribbean with its Afro-Caribbean culture, laid-back pace, and crystal-clear waters. Few countries in the world give you both seas. This one, yes.

As we finalize the itinerary day by day, these places are now non-negotiable. They are the cornerstones around which we are building the route.
Volcano Arenal.
The perfect cone of Central America. Trails, suspension bridges in the rainforest, and natural hot springs at sunset.
La Fortuna Waterfall.
A 70-meter free fall in the middle of the jungle. Descent down a wooden ladder and a swim in its natural pool, pure emerald.
Monteverde Cloud Forest.
A biological reserve shrouded in fog. Suspension bridges, a canopy walkway above the forest canopy, and the flight of the quetzal if you're lucky.
Manuel Antonio National Park.
Rainforest that flows into white-sand beaches. Sloths, squirrel monkeys, iguanas, and the best sunsets on the Pacific.
Ballena Marine Park.
A beach shaped like a whale's tail, with waters where the humpback whales. One of the best places in the world to spot them.
Volcano Poás.
One of the active craters the world's largest. A turquoise acid lake visible from the lookout point. High-altitude coffee plantations.
Puerto Viejo.
The other ocean, the other rhythm. Afro-Caribbean culture, reggae, calypso, Creole cuisine, and beaches lined with coconut palms.
Tabacón Hot Springs.
Hot springs that originate from the Arenal volcano. Hot rivers running through tropical jungle and orchid gardens. A must-do ritual at sunset.

When will the group trip to Costa Rica open?
We're planning the expedition for 2027. We don't have a specific date yet—and we won't announce it until every day, every lodge, and every leg of the journey have been carefully selected. The VIP List is the only way to be the first to know.
Do I need a visa to travel to Costa Rica?
With a Spanish passport, you do not need a visa to enter Costa Rica for tourist stays. All you need is a valid passport and a return ticket. You can verify this at the official website of the Costa Rican Tourism Institute. We'll send you all the information before your trip.
When is the best time to travel to Costa Rica?
The dry season runs from December to April on the Pacific coast—ideal for Manuel Antonio and Ballena Marine Park. The Caribbean coast has its own cycle, with the best weather between March and September. We are planning the trip for the most favorable dates in 2027.
What does the small-group trip to Costa Rica include?
The trip we're planning includes active volcanoes, the Monteverde Cloud Forest, Manuel Antonio National Park, the Caribbean—which almost no one visits—and the Tabacón hot springs. All with groups of no more than 13 people, hand-picked lodges, and a local guide who knows the country inside and out.
How many people are in the group traveling to Costa Rica?
Between 6 and 13. If the number is below 6, the trip won't take place. If it's above 13, we won't add anyone else. The group size is a design decision, not a logistical one.
