The essence of travel

Fourteen days. A single, unpacked suitcase.

Some trips are forgotten as soon as you land. And some trips stay with you. What stays with you happens between one place and the next: the conversation while crossing the jungle, the silence before a stone temple, the moment when the sea forces you—finally—to breathe slowly.

Over the course of fourteen days, you don't just experience a change of scenery. You experience a change of pace.

Tegallalang's stepped rice terraces in the valley

Before landing in Bali

You don't arrive in Denpasar alone.

This is the question we get asked most often, which is why it's here and not at the end. The group starts weeks earlier, in Spain—so that on the first day you're already part of something, without having to break the ice in the immigration line.

Weeks earlier

We open the WhatsApp group

You get to know your travel companions before you even arrive at the airport. The conversation begins before you even pack your suitcase.

At the airport

We'll meet at the terminal

We'll meet before check-in and do it together: luggage, check-in, and boarding. If you're flying from another city, we'll coordinate your connection so you arrive with plenty of time.

On the plane

Rakel or Toni travel with the group

Round trip, on the same plane. The journey has already begun before landing.

Upon arrival

There's someone holding a sign with your name on it

Private car. Cold water. And the hotel in Ubud waiting. You don't organize anything.

The fear of traveling alone stays at the boarding gate.

How we do it

Las decisiones that change the journey.

Bali demands a slow pace. It's built from within, with decisions that aren't shown in a brochure but that change how you experience it.

Base en Ubud

A single base in Ubud

Eleven nights, one hotel

We set up base in Ubud and return there every night. Eleven nights in the same room, over fourteen days of travel. The pool already recognizes you.

Design, silence, and surrounding jungle

The slow pace that Bali demands begins where you sleep. The place where you wake up defines the energy of the following day.

Arrival in Spain

The island's energy stays with you long after you unpack your suitcase.

The two speeds

Body on, body off.

There are days for climbing, paddling, and getting up early. And there are days for doing absolutely nothing. That mix is what stays with you when you return.

The days on

Movement and early starts that are worth it
  • Batur Volcano at sunrise. Alarm clock at three and climb under the stars.
  • Rafting on the Ayung River. Whitewater and jungle on both banks.
  • Lake Tamblingan in a traditional Balinese canoe.
  • Trekking through the northern jungle to the shore of the lake.
  • Quads through the jungle in the heart of the island.

The days off

Permission to Do Nothing
  • The pool at eleven in the morning, no agenda.
  • Balinese Massage on one of the days off.
  • Leisurely strolls through Ubud, hidden cafes and unhurried markets.
  • Afternoon Reading Sessions in Gardens with the cicadas in the background.
  • Sunsets Over Rice Fields without having to repack.

The accommodation

The joy of returning, eleven nights.

You unpack your suitcase only once every fourteen days. That hardly exists on a trip through Asia.

Tropical gardens, a pool where the water almost merges with the jungle, rooms with Balinese design and a silence rare in Asia: the silence of knowing that you are inside an oasis.

Some things you notice when you open the door. Others, you notice when you don't open the suitcase.

It's all in there

What's in. And what isn't.

What you see is what you get. No surprises on the bill.

03

The remaining amount 30 days before departure.

We'll give you plenty of notice at each step.

It is mandatory and it's not included in the price. It covers cancellation, medical assistance at the destination, lost luggage, and repatriation.

You don't have to look for anything: we'll give you the one we use, tailored to the activities of this trip — trekking and rafting — and we'll look at it together before departure.

Visa for Bali (Indonesia)

With Spanish passport the Visa on Arrival on arrival at Denpasar airport, and it can also be done online before flying. It gives 30 days of validity, more than enough for this trip.

The amount changes from time to time, so confirm it when processing it at the Indonesia's official tourism website. We'll send you all the information ahead of time.

The group

The group is 6 to 13 travelers. We don't add anyone beyond thirteen. Rakel or Toni will accompany the group, and a local Balinese guide who speaks Spanish will be at the destination.

If we don't reach the minimum, we cancel and refund you the 100% of the amount paid.

How to reserve your spot

Three steps. No commitment to the last.

You don't just fill out a form and suddenly appear in Denpasar. We talk beforehand, and that's what makes the groups work.

First contact · 2 min

You fill in the form

Tell us how you travel and what you're looking for. There's no obligation.

Connection · 10 min

Let's talk with you

Ten minutes with Rakel or Toni, by phone or video call. So you can ask anything that can't be answered on a website. And so that on your first day in Ubud you'll already know the voice of the person who will greet you.

Formalization

Now begins the good part

If we both agree, you can book with a €300 deposit. We'll help you with flights and open the WhatsApp group.

Filling out the form does not constitute a reservation. If it's not the right time, we can suggest another trip or say goodbye as friends.

Who goes with you

We don't send anyone in our place.

We are Rakel and Toni.
The ones you've seen on the web.
Those who talk to you before you book.
Those who make the entire journey, from the first flight to the last sunset.

One of the two of us goes with the group from the airport until the return trip: sunrise on Mount Batur, the Gates of Heaven, New Year's Eve dinner. In Bali, a local Balinese guide joins the group, speaking Spanish and providing context that only someone from the island can offer. We're launching this first edition with you.

What does it mean to go with us?
  • One of the two, on the same plane as you. Round trip.
  • In the lobby of the Ubud hotel when you arrive.
  • If something goes wrong, you don't have to solve it in another language.
  • The days off are yours. If you want ideas, we've got them.

Fourteen days is enough time to get to know each other.

Before taking the step

Is this Your New Year's Eve?

If you recognize yourself here, this is probably your trip

This trip to Bali is for you

  • You want to spend the year in a place that will be remembered.

  • Buscas aventura con presencia, without the rush of an organized tour.

  • Quieres templos sagrados con tiempo para sentirlos.

  • You feel like sharing the route with a group of 6 to 13 travelers where there's room for conversation.

  • Quieres naturaleza salvaje: volcano, jungle, waterfalls, and rice paddies.

  • Y valoras no mover la maleta en catorce días.

Frequently Asked Questions

The usual questions, answered.

These are the questions we've received most about this trip. If you have any more, tell us about them during the call.

Can you help me with international flights?

Yes. We'll help you choose the best combination at the best price and coordinate the group so you can all fly together. There are no domestic flights in Bali: all travel is by road using private transfers.

What if I'm traveling alone?

This is the most common arrangement for our groups. That's why we talk before you book: so you know who you'll be traveling with on the day of your flight. The standard room is shared with someone of the same gender; if you prefer a single room, there's a supplement that we'll let you know about beforehand.

What documents do I need for Bali?

A passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into Indonesia. For tourism, the Visa on Arrival upon arrival at Denpasar airport, and can also be done online before flying. Indonesia's official tourism website. Confirm the current amount when processing it.

What exactly happens on the night of the 31st?

New Year's Eve dinner is included in the price and is enjoyed with the entire group under the Balinese sky. That same day we visit the Gates of Heaven at Lempuyang and the Tirta Gangga springs, making the 31st one of the most packed days of the trip.

What level of fitness is required?

You don't need to be an athlete. You do need to be able to walk for 2-3 hours with moderate elevation gain. The most demanding part is the Batur volcano: an early start and a climb of about two hours. If you have any limitations, let us know during the call and we'll look into it.

Which city does it depart from?

The meeting point is finalized with the group once it's formed, usually in Madrid as it has the best connections to Denpasar. If you're flying from Valencia, Barcelona, or another city, we'll coordinate your connection so you arrive with plenty of time to depart with the group.

Do I need travel insurance?

It's mandatory and not included. We'll help you find one suitable for the activities on this trip: trekking, rafting, and water sports. You don't have to look for anything.

Is there a minimum number of travelers required for the trip to take place?

Yes, 6 people. Below that number we cancel and refund 100% of the amount paid.

Can I bring a companion?

Of course. Couple, friends, or family. We only ask that everyone comes because they want to: in 14 days, that makes a difference.

What if I have to cancel and can't go?

Before cancelling, ask us about transferring your seat: you can transfer it to someone else by giving us at least 7 days' notice, paying any fees associated with changing the name on the tickets. This is usually much cheaper than losing the 50% or 100% for the trip.

What if I have never traveled in a group?

Even better, without the old bad habits. The WhatsApp group opens weeks before departure, so you arrive at the airport already knowing several people.
