We are Rakel and Toni.
And this is not an agency.
That's what we were missing.
SunZen Travel wasn't born in an office or at a travel agency. It was born out of a very simple need: breathe again. About traveling in a more authentic, more thoughtful way—a way that feels more like us. We are a small-group travel agency based in Valencia.
Born out of necessity Very simple.
We don't come from the world of agencies. We come from the real world: rigid schedules, weeks that fly by, and that feeling of needing to truly unwind when we finally get a few days off.
The mountains, the beach, and nature have always been the place where we went back to breathe. And one day we realized that we wanted to share that feeling with others. That's how SunZen Travel was born.
Because every time we looked for group travel we felt something was missing. We wanted adventure, yes, but also comfort. Our own space. A trip where you share moments with the group, but you also have your own corner to disconnect.
We started SunZen Travel so we could travel the way we wanted to. And it turned out we weren't the only ones looking for the same thing.
Everything is taken care of to ensure a smooth trip—from the day's itinerary to a hot shower at the end of the day.
Two forces. One and the same journey.
SUN and ZEN are not just two syllables in our name. They are the two energies that we believe every good trip needs in balance.
Adventure, nature, curiosity, discovery. Walking in the sunshine, diving into the sea, climbing up to a temple at sunrise. That’s what makes a trip truly memorable and unforgettable.
A moment of pause, a breath, well-being, mindfulness. A peaceful breakfast by the sea, a nap in the shade, a long conversation over dinner. The things that make you feel that travel heals.
The best trips do not choose between adventure and comfort. They are part of them.

Valencian. I am moved by places where nature still rules and time goes slower. I notice what other people do not look at: the light of a room, the silence of a breakfast, the people with whom you are going to share the table that night.
My good habit: choosing accommodations with the same care I would use if I were choosing them for myself. If I recommend a place to you, it's because it would pass the same criteria we use when we travel.
Outside of SunZen: I read more than I have time for, and I go paddleboarding when the sea allows it.

What I enjoy most: discovering new things. Rakel pays attention to the details that aren't visible. I pay attention to the ones you experience with your body.
Outside of SunZen: I meditate every day and go paddleboarding with Rakel when the wind dies down.

There are destinations we’ve visited ourselves. We know the accommodations, the local vibe, the hidden gems, and the people who are worth working with. That firsthand experience is what allows us to recommend only what we trust.

In other destinations, we work with trusted local agencies that we’ve hand-selected. The money stays there, the guide speaks your language, and everything meets the same high standards we would apply ourselves.
Don't improvise. With transparency.
When we add a new destination for the first time, we let you know. We only launch it once we're convinced it offers the experience we want to share.
In all three cases, we never send anyone to a site that wouldn't pass the standards we would apply to ourselves.

We work with destinations that we know well.
That's why there are only a few—not many. If a new destination is added to SunZen, it's because we've worked for months to ensure the experience lives up to our standards, not because it's time to expand our catalog.
We select local partners one by one.
The guide speaks your language, the money stays in the country, and the experience has a face and a name. No anonymous intermediaries.
We charge what it costs do it right.
We pay local guides what they're owed, choose accommodations that are worth it, and take care of every detail of the trip. As agency registered under package tour regulations y Approved by the Valencian Community Tourism Board, everything is clear from the very beginning—no surprises.

Every accommodation, every guide, and every activity goes through the same screening process we would use for our own trip. If we wouldn't recommend it to a trusted friend, it doesn't make the cut.

We'll talk to you before confirming your spot. It's not out of arrogance. It's because a group that works well together transforms the trip. And we want it to be transformed.
We take care of what comes next.
The journey doesn't end at the airport. That's why we're designing getaways in Spain: so that friendships formed in any corner of the world can continue to grow close to home.
Travel is human. Unforeseen events as well.
Things happen when you travel. A delayed flight, an unexpected fever, a transit strike. And the opposite happens, too: moments that weren't part of the plan but stay with you forever. We're prepared for both sides of the coin.
When the plan breaks.
You’re not talking to a call center on the other side of the world. You’re talking to one of us. We’ll reroute your call, move heaven and earth with our local partners, find you a good doctor, arrange for a new transfer, or accompany you to the hospital if necessary. Whatever it takes. You will find us.
When it appears the magic.
The long, unplanned conversation. The place that invites you in. The beach you stumble upon while walking. The sunset that makes you stay one more day. That’s why we intentionally leave gaps in every trip: free afternoons, leisurely dinners, unplanned moments. Because the most memorable moments are usually right there.
