Before you read on, there is something important you need to know.
Sri Lanka is not just a destination; it is a state of mind. It is the place where jungle embraces history and where every sunrise smells of cinnamon and wet earth.
We do not come to cross monuments off a list. We come to feel the pulse of an island that vibrates to another rhythm. Because the true essence of Ceylon is not in the photo of the overcrowded train, but in the silence of a temple hidden in the rock, in the taste of a hand-picked tea or in the unexpected encounter with an elephant in freedom at dusk.
There will be gravity-defying sacred rocks, cloud-crossing trains and the endless blue of the Indian Ocean waiting for you at the end of the road.
To discover Sri Lanka is to remember what it means to be truly amazed. It is to leave the rush behind, learn from the calmness of its people and allow the energy of the island to cleanse you from the inside.

If you are looking for this, this is NOT the trip for you
- A tour of 10 Buddhas a day and quick photos.
- An overcrowded and superficial trip.
- Pay the minimum even if you lose the experience.
If you are looking for this, WELCOME
- Real adventure, but with calm and awareness.
- High-quality hotels, elegant aesthetics and private rest. Forget the crowded rooms; here we prioritize your space and your own bathroom.
- Space to connect with the immensity of the landscape, the strength of the sea and the energy of the group.
«We are looking for 13 people. Not one more. Because true connection on the Island of the Gods only happens when the group has room to breathe.»
Must-see places to experience in Palawan

Sigiriya: The Lion's Stronghold
Defying Gravity. You will stand on an ancient rock that holds the echo of a forgotten kingdom. It is not just a climb; it is a lesson of perspective on the infinite jungle that surrenders to your feet while the sun dyes the sacred stone gold.

Anuradhapura: The Sacred Origin
The Peace that Transcends. You will walk among white stupas that seem to touch the sky and sacred trees with centuries of history. A corner of the Cultural Triangle.

Ambuluwawa Tower: The Mystic Vertigo
The Stairway to Heaven. An experience that will shake your senses. We will climb this iconic tower where the 360° views over the mountains will make you feel like you are floating above the clouds. A visual landmark that redefines what it means to «be on top».

Ella's Blue Train: Nostalgia in Motion
Sailing among Green Oceans. You will pass through tea plantations and hidden waterfalls on the most beautiful railway route in the world. To feel the wind in your face as the train meanders through the highlands is to finally understand that the road is the destination.

Lipton's Seat: The Dawn of the World
Hiking among Tea Clouds. We will get up early to see how the first ray of sunlight awakens the hills of Ceylon. Walking along endless trails among tea pickers is to connect with the land in the purest and most authentic way possible.

Safari in Yala: The Pulse of the Wild
The Look of the Leopard. We will enter the Sinhalese savannah to remember that we are guests on this planet. To feel the power of elephants in the wild and the adrenaline of searching for the big cat is to recover that capacity for wonder that the city has stolen from us.
What you will experience in Sri Lanka
- Connecting with the strength of the earth ascending the mythical Lion Rock in Sigiriya and conquering the verticality of the Ambuluwawa Tower.
- Exploring the spiritual heart of Ceylon touring the sacred ruins of Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa, where history is touched by the hands.
- Immerse yourself in the infinite green of the highlands on a trek through tea plantations at Lipton's Seat and through the jungle on the legendary blue train.
- Feeling the adrenaline of the wild on a 4×4 safari through Yala National Park in search of leopard and elephants in the wild.
- Balancing extreme adventure with designer shelters; boutique accommodations selected so that the rest after the route is as powerful as the expedition itself.

Group and Tea
You don't come to see people, you come to be part of something. Toasts at dawn at Lipton's Seat, deep conversations on the blue train ride and that complicity that is born when you share the sacred. You don't come back with contacts, you come back with friends on the road who vibrate with you.
The Green that Heals
Places that impose and force you to be present. Forget the filters; here you will feel the vibration of the most crystalline waters of the planet and the weight of a nature that has been intact for centuries. It is beauty that you can feel on your skin, not just in the camera.
Spices and Roots
Sri Lanka is energy and mixture. From the subtle spiciness of a rice and curry authentic in the village of Hiriwadunna, to the traces of history on the walls of Galle. Here every bite and every Ayurvedic aroma is a celebration that you are, at last, far away from routine.
The Pulse of the Earth
We left the asphalt behind. Whether climbing the steps of an ancient rock or looking for the look of the leopard in the savannah of Yala, you will feel how Ceylon's nature gives you back the energy that the city has stolen from you. It is life in its purest form, without artifice.
You have not come to watch. You came to vibrate.
Forget the viewpoints from the window of a bus. This is the ascent to the sacred rock, the silence of the temples carved into the cave and the adrenaline of walking trails between mountains that seem to float. Comfort when it's time, but presence whenever we can. Because to come back refreshed, you first have to feel very much alive.

Travel is not just about getting around.
There are trips that you forget when you land. And there are trips that stay with you.
It is not for the monuments or for the photos. It is for what happens between one place and the next: that conversation in the van crossing the jungle, the silence that assaults you in front of a temple or the moment when the sea forces you, finally, to breathe slowly.
This trip is designed for that.
So that for 13 days you not only change your scenery, but also your rhythm and energy. So that routine fades effortlessly and you remember, at last, what it feels like to be exactly where you want to be:
Sea. Jungle. Energy. And you, finally, in your place.
We are not a travel agency. We are your travel companions.

SunZen was not born in an office or a travel agency.
It was born out of a very simple need: to breathe again.
Behind SunZen we are Rakel and Toni.
Two people who one day decided to stop, get out of the routine and create the way of traveling that we had always missed.
We don't come from the world of tourism. We come from the real world: rigid schedules, weeks that go by too fast and that feeling of needing to really disconnect when a few days off finally arrive.
The mountains, the beach, nature and animals have always been our refuge. And one day we understood that we wanted to share that feeling with other people.
Because every time we looked for group travel we felt that something was missing.
We wanted adventure, yes.
But also comfort.
A space of its own.
A trip where you share moments with the group... but also have your own corner to disconnect.
From that idea SunZen was born.
We organize trips where the adventure is still present, but the rest is private, comfortable and at your own pace. Where everything is taken care of so that the trip flows: from the route of the day to the hot shower at the end of the day.
Because vacations are not for suffering or for following rigid schedules.
They are there to live, breathe and come back different.
If you've had enough impersonal travel, maybe it's time to try something different.
You don't come to see Sri Lanka. You come to feel it
Sri Lanka is not a destination to look at from the outside; it is the «Shining Island» with an energy that shakes you. We have designed this trip to take you down into the mud of the jungle, up to the most sacred temples and feel the true mystical essence of the place. If you are looking for more than the typical photo from the train window, you are where you need to be.
Here you don't just come to move: you come to test yourself, to break the mold, to discover a world that works at a different pace and to return home a different person. And you won't do it alone; you'll go with a group of people who share your values and your desire to enjoy life. Traveling with like-minded people is what makes a good route unforgettable.
This is not your typical organized trip. It is the exact combination of pure adventure, real connection and a different way to bite Ceylon from the inside.
